Minor wounds usually aren't serious, but it is important to clean them. Serious and infected wounds may require first aid followed by a visit to your doctor. You should also seek attention if the wound is deep, you cannot close it yourself, you cannot stop the bleeding or get the dirt out, or it does not heal. Cuts and scrapes, for example, should be rinsed with cool water. To stop bleeding, apply firm but gentle pressure, using gauze. If blood soaks through, add more gauze, keeping the first layer in place. Continue to apply pressure.

What's Inside

Active ingredients (in each gram): Bacitracin zinc 500 units, first aid antibiotic; Neomycin sulfate equivalent to 3.5 mg of neomycin base, first aid antibiotic; Polymyxin B 10,000 units as polymyxin B sulfate, first aid antibiotic; Pramoxine HCl 10 mg, external analgesic.

Inactive ingredient: white petrolatum.

Directions 

• Adults and children 2 years of age or older: clean the affected area, apply a small amount of this product (an amount equal to the surface area of the tip of a finger) on the area 1 to 3 times daily, may be covered with a sterile bandage.
• Children under 2 years of age: ask a doctor.
